- 의미가 달아지는 형용사: certain (보어) 확신하는, 자신하는(sure), (수식) 어떤 / present (보어) 참석하는, 존재하는, (수식) 현재의, 지금의 late (보어) 늦은 (수식)돌아간, 고(deceased), 말기(후기)의 apt (보어) ~하는 경향이 있다, ~하기 쉽다 (수식) 적성[재능]있는 be apt to=be likely to ill (보어) 아픈, 건강 또는 기분이 나쁜 (수식) 나쁜(부도덕한) conscious (보어) 의식 있는(기절하지 않은) (수식) 의식 있는(비판 의식이 있는)

- 한정형용사: all, both, no, either, neither, half, double, any, some

- all (복수명사, 불가산명사), no (복수, 단수, 불가산), =some(긍정), =any(부정, 의문 사용)

- 그래서30분이 “half an hour”

- 위 부정형용사들은 대명사로 쓰임 All of the 명사, All of 대명사

- 셀 수 있는 명사 앞에서 수사 one man, two men, each week, every boy and girl “each와 every는 단수가산명사”, both my parents, a couple of days (2~3일 표현), several kinds of flowers, many fish(fish는 단수=복수), a number of soldiers, a few good men

- 셀 수 없는 명사에만 쓰는 표현 a little money, little money, much, a great deal of + 단수 * a great number of +복수

- 양, 수 다 사용 가능한 표현: no, some, any, a lot of, lots of, plenty of, most (복수, 불가산), all (복수, 불가산)

à 대명사로 쓰임(7) all, most, some, any, much, many, several

- the+형용사 “~한 사람들” ＝　복수보통명사　／　추상명사　＂～한　것＂

☺ the poor, the sick, the disabled ☻ the unexpected 예상치 못한 일, the seemingly impossible 겉보기에 불가능한 것

-형용사처럼 쓰이는 분사: the sleeping baby, the baby sleeping on the bed

-Ving: 능동,진행 Ved: 수동,완료

★ 감정유발동사에서 온 분사는 필수적으로 암기, 그 형태 유의!

   ☻ amaze, amuse, annoy, astonish, bore, confuse, depress, disappoint, embarrass, excite, exhaust, fascinate, frighten, interest, move, touch, satisfy, shock, surprise, terrify, scare, tire, worry, horrify, please, threaten

★ 형용사의 어순

   ☻ 전치한정사+(관사,소유격,지시형용사)+(수량,대소,성상)+(모양,색깔,신구)+(재료,고유)

■ 부사=형용사: early, fast, high, late, low, near, hard(어려운, 딱딱한, 세찬/ 열심히, 세차게) ∵hardly 거의~않다 nearly = almost, lately = recently = of late, most (+복수명사, +불가산명사) 대부분의, mostly = mainly, almost 거의

■ 부사로 착각하기 쉬운 형용사: manly, friendly, lovely, likely, lonely, elderly, motherly

   ☞ low(낮은, 낮게(물리적)), lowly 낮게(정신적)

4. 듣고 난 소감: 형용사 기초반 마무리하게 돼서 기분 좋습니다. 조금더 깊이 들어가고 싶은 욕심 있지만 선생님께서 이 아쉬움은 심화과정에서 하자고 하셔서 기대가 됩니다. 속 시원히 해결해 주셔서 감사 드립니다. 하면 할수록 재미있는 강좌인 것 같아요. 강좌를 들으며 감탄사가 몇 번이나 나오는지, 매우 인상적이었습니다.

5. 구체적인 후기: 형용사 파트가 그리 만만치 않다고 하셨는데 이제야 조금 이해가 갑니다. 아직 갈 길이 멀다고 느껴지지만, 선생님 말씀대로 바다 속을 들여다 봐야 더 큰 세상을 알게 되는 것 같습니다. 그러면 더욱 빠져들고 즐길 수 있는 날이 오겠죠? 감사합니다.
