| 타미선생님 질문내용이 길어서 죄송합니다..ㅠ One way to assess the function of smelling in humans is to examine the consequences of its loss. Humans rely primarily on vision and audition, so the sense of smell assumes far less importance relative to many other animals. thus, although blindness and deafness are serious disabilities,no sense of smell exerts more subtle effects. 질문이 2개 입니다...중간부분에서 relative to many other animals 이 부분은 추가보어인게 맞나요!??? 그리고 마지막 문장인 no sense of smell exerts more subtle effects 이 문장을 저는 "어떠한 후각도 더 미묘한 영향을 발휘하지 않는다"라고 해석했는데 답지에는 "후각을 가지지 않는 것은 더 미묘한 영향을 발휘한다"라고 의역이 되어있습니다.. 문두에 no가 오면 전체부정으로 해석해야하는것으로 알고있는데 부정어 no의 다른 용법이 있습니까?? 어떻게생각해야할지 부탁드립니다...ㅜㅜ | |

relative 이하는 일종의 분사구문입니다 앞에 being 이 생략된 것으로 보시면 됩니다 when we are relative to many other animals 에서 들어가 갔다고 보심 될 듯 하구요/ 여기서는 동사를 부정하면 아니되고 해석지가 맞습니다 왜냐하면 문맥상 no sense of smell 자체가 후각이 없다는 것 혹은 후각의 상실 이라고 보셔야 하기 때문입니다
