TEG p.219 1040 They killed many American alligators, the skin from the belly of which reptile is supple enough for making pocketbooks, wallets, and bags. 여기서 which 의 선행사가 alligators 라고 생각되는대 그렇다면 alligators reptile 이란것이 이해가 안되서요. 설명하시기로는 which 가 reptile 의 지시형용사 처럼 '그 파충류' 라고 설명하신 것 같은데 이해가 안되서요.

which reptile 이 바로 alligator 와 동격적으로 사용한 말입니다. 이경우 which 는 관계형용사입니다.
Seoul, in which city I was born, is the capital of Korea. 라고 하는 경우와 같아욧
