17쪽에서 마지막문장에

 

a cleaner and more beautiful place to live 라는 단어가 있는데요

live뒤에 in이 있어야 하지 않나요??

찾아보니까 in을 빼고 쓰는 경우가 많던데 생략하고 쓰기도 하나요??

네 이 부정사 수식어에서 보통 앞의 명사가 전치사 in 에 걸리는 장소명사일 경우 원래는 in 까지 써주어야 하지만
의미상 혼동이 없다는 이유로 전치사 in 을 생략하고 사용하기도 합니다
