[비교급]

superior, inferior, junior, senior 등은 이미 비교급의 뜻을 갖고 있어서 more이 아닌 much를 써서 강조해주며,

than대신에 to를 사용한다. 

He is senior to me = He is older than I.

A is no more B than C is D. 

A가 B가 아닌 것은 C가 D가 아닌 것과 같다. 

That gives us no more a right to betray our country than injuries received from our parents give us a right to hate them.

그것이 우리에게 우리 조국을 배신할 권리를 주는 것이 아닌 것처럼 우리 부모로부터 받은 상처가 우리에게 그들을 미워할 권리를 주는 것은 아니다. 

A is no less B than C is D

A가 B인 것은  C가 D인 것과 마찬가지이다. 

He is no less innocent than you are.

그가 순수한것만큼 너도 순수해.

비교급이 than이 아닌 for, because 이유를 받을 때 비교급 앞에 정관사 the를 붙인다. 

I like him all the more because he is not perfect.

much less=still less, much more=still more 그리고, 게다가

I don't like to read horror novels, still less to watch horror films. -> 부정문이므로 still more가 아닌 still less 나 much less 로 쓴다.
