* 제한어 only에 의한 도치

* If절 should, were, had pp 일때 도치

If I were a bird, I could fly in the sky.

= Were I a bird, I could fly in the sky.

Report to the police should any break-in happen.

* 정도절인 so+형, 부+ that절에서도 so+형, 부가 문두에 올 경우 도치됨

So nervous is the man that he can't remeber the first line of his speech.

* 비교구문에서의 도치(as 형,부 as S+V/ ~er than S+V)

He is as happy as his son who has just finished taking the college entrance exam is. 주어가 길고 뒤어 is는 his son의 동사로 찾기 힘듦.

그래서 영어에서 주어가 길 경우 도치함.

He is as happy as is his son who has just finished taking the college entrance exam.
