1. 행위의 주어

She has a lot of things to do. 해야 할 많은 일

3. 전치사의 목적어

I need a chair to sit on. = I need a chair on which to sit.

목적보어 뒤에서 진목적어 역할 make, feel, find, think, believe, consider 등의 동사가 자주 사용됨

I found it stupid to make him angry.

이유나 판단의 근거로 사용되는 부정사: 판단표현이나 감탄문 뒤에서

주어+must V... to VR: ~로 보아서 ~임에 틀림없다

She must be a genius to solve the problem.

감탄문 to VR: ~로 보건대 얼마나 ~한가

What a fool he is to say so!
