1.In Socrates' seventieth year, three Athenians decided that he was a strange and evil man. They claimed that he had failed to worship the city's gods, accused him of introducing new god, and corrupting the young men of Athens.
-3번째줄 new god 이후 접속사 and 다음에 accused him of 가 생략된 형태인가요? 만약 comma가 없다면 앞에 of의 전치사의 목적어와 병렬로 볼 가능성이 있게되고 claimed 과 accused를 연결하는 접속사가 빠져서 문법상 어색할 수 있는데, comma가 와서 and 다음에 생략해도 무방한 것인가요?

and 앞의 콤마는 선택적으로 사용합니다 accused 는 they 를 공통주어로 하고 있고 이경우 accused 앞의 콤마는 and 를 대용한 것입니다 영어에서 코마가 and 를 대용하는 경우는 많이 있습니다. 뒤의 and 는 그 다음에 corrupting 이라는 동명사를 받았으므로 정확히 introducing 과 같은 역할을 합니다
