construction will begin in May instead of March as planned.

타미선생님... 여기서 as planned는 무슨 구조인가요?.. 통밥으로 뭔뜻인지는 알겠는데 구조가 전혀 안보입니다...planned 앞에 was도 있어야할것 같은데 안보이고... 무슨 구조인지 부탁좀드립니다 ㅠㅠ

as부사절에서 ~이듯이의 의미일 때 s1=s2 이면 s2+be동사를 생략할 수 있습니다. 원래는 as it is planned 이지만 it이 앞의 내용 전체를 받으므로 주어가 같다고 보고 it is 를 생략한 것 입니다. 짧은 영어실력이지만 배운 내용이기에 답변 해봤습니다!
