Speaking of , so great to have the gates open. why did they shut them in the first place? do you know the reason?

 이 문장에서 to have the gates open 이 구절 질문이 있어요!

 타미선생님 have + 명사 + 동사원형 : 명사가 동사원형 하도록 시키다.겪다

 여기서 어색한게요 ㅠㅠ gates라는 사물이 동사원형을 하는 주체가 되는데

 사물이 어떤 행동을 한다는게 많이 어색하네요..ㅠㅠ

 이 부분은 어떻게 생각해야할까요?ㅠㅠ
