Respondents were about 10percent more likely to say that a baby paired with odd numbers was a boy, than if the same baby was paired with even numbers. Wilkie and Bodenhausen were unable to explain why odd is masculine and even is feminine, rather than vice versa.

(응답자들이 홀수와 짝지어진 아기가 남자아이라고 말할 가능성이 그 동일한 아기가 짝수와 짝지어졌을때보다 약 10퍼센트 더 많았다. Wilkie와 Bodenhausen은 왜 홀수가 남성적이고 짝수가 여성적이며, 그 반대는 아닌지를 설명할수는 없었다.)
