[3형식 타동사 목적어 자리 절이 올때 수동태]

S+V+that s+v

= That 절 + be pp (by S)

= It be pp that s+v

=  s+ be pp + to v

We know that he writes many novels.

= That he writes many novels is known.

= It is know that he writes many novels.

= He is know to write many novels. 

어법성 판단평가 문제로 이 문제 나올 가능성이 가장 많다. 

It is said that he deserved his country for love.

-> He is said to have deserved his country for love. -> 주절보다 that절이 과거면 단문으로 바꿀 때 be pp가 아닌 have pp로.

[4형식 수동태]

S+V+IO+DO 

-> IO be pp DO

-> DO be pp 전치사(to는 생략 가능) IO

He gave me hope.

= I was given hope.

= Hope was given (to) me.

* make, find, buy, call은 DO를 주어로 쓸 수 없음을 유의하자. 

수동태로 바꿀 때 buy, find, make는 for를, ask는 of를 , play는 (DO를 joke, trick, game 일 때) on으로 받는다. 

He asked me a complicated question. 

-> A complicated question was asked of me. 

She played him a trick. 

-> The trick was played on him.

DO자리 명사절 받았을 경우,

He told me that he didn't know the answer.

-> I was told that he didn't know the answer.

-> It was told to me that he didn't know the answer.

[5형식 수동태]

S+V+O+OC -> O+be pp + OC

* 5형식에서 사역동사 및 지각동사가 수동태 될 때는 목적보어에 to V로 쓴다. 

I saw him cry. -> He was seen to cry. 

Her mom made her wash the dishes. -> She was made to wash the dishes.
