부사의 역할 : 동사, 형용사, 부사, 절전체를 수식, 숫자수식,동명사수식

부사의 의미 :

1. 시간,장소,방법,방식,정도,목적,결과,수단,조건,양태,양보,부대상황

정도부사 : 정도부사는 형용사[부사]앞에 와서 뒤의 형용사[부사] 수식

: 비교 : 매우(=충분히)의 뜻인 enough는 형용사[부사]뒤에 와서 앞의 형용사[부사] 수식 , enough가 형용사로 쓰이면 명사 앞에 쓰임

(ex :　old enough(부사) / enough(형용사) money

종류 :

1. so,pretty,quite,rather, terribly, awfully, badly, extremely, too

절전체 수식 : 

Happily, he dis not die / He did not die happily

happily, surprisingly, fortunately, unfortunately ,sadly, embarrassingly

빈도부사 : be동사뒤,조동사뒤 일반동사앞

100% : always

80% : usually

70% : often frequently,

20% : sometimes

10% : hardly, scarcely, rarely, seldom

0% : never

I often travel to Japan

He frequently makes a spelling mistakes

부사의 형태

(1) 원래형태로도 부사 : very, much , pretty, soon, so, still, yet, fast, early, already, always, somewhere, today.....

(2) 형용사+ly : clearly, obviously,certainly,surely,evidently, politely, safely, frequently, heavily, seriously

2) 자음+ly : y를 i로 고치고 ly : anglirily, easily, happily, prettily, busily,

3) ~le : e없애고 y : possibly, terribly, simply

4) ~ic : +ally : automatically, dramatically, systematically

예외 : publicly(공개적으로)

시간명사 중 일부는 전치사 없이 스스로 부사의 역할을 할 수 있다.

I met her parents yesterday

I have been waiting (for) 3 hours

Please treat me (in) the way you treat her

부사,형용사,관사,명사의 어순중 주의할 것

He has a pretty face

He has so pretty a face = He has such a pretty face

This is so nice a car that every boy and girl wants to take a ride in it.

He has an old car

He has too old a car

This is too good an offer to turn down

How beautiful a girl she is!

He is as smart a student as ever studied in this class

However rich a man he is, I wont't marry him
