 another과 other

1. another : an(임의의 하나) + other : 나열개념

3개 이상의 것을 나열 할 때 두 번째 것를 말함

2. other : 분할 개념 : 어떤 기준에 의해 두 개로 나눈 후 두 번째 언급되는 명사

앞에 한정사 수식 가능: ex: some[any, the, your등 ] other

Do you like the one? (당신은 전자를 좋아해요?) I like the other(저는 후자를 좋아해요) : 전자, 후자의 개념으로 순서가 정해진 두개를 분할 한 후 순서를 정함

He has twin sons. One is tall, while the other is short. : 두 개롤 분할을 했는데 순서를 정하지 않고 말할 때 씀

Some people like boxing. But others don't : 두 개롤 분할 한 후 처음과 나중을 언급하는 방법

nothing, nobody에 보잘 것 없는 것이라는 의미가 있다.

neither / either

neither : 둘 다 부정, 단수취급

either : 둘 중 하나는 지칭 단수취급

Neither of his parents is alive

neither + v + s : 주어도 역시 아니다

I don't like him. Neither does my wife

neither a nor b ; b에 수일치

Neither his parents nor his father is alive

Either of twins is smart

either a or b ; b에 수일치

Either you or your sister is smart

not ~either =neither

일반인을 지칭하거나 동종의 것들 중 임의의 것 하나를 지칭한다. 임의의 것에 대한 복수는 ones이다. 기수나 소유격 뒤에서 바로 받을 수 없고(ex : ten ones(x), your one(x)) 복수 중 하나를 받으므로 불가산명사를 받을 수 없다.
