긍정문에서는 some, 부정문, 의문문, 조건문에서는 any를 쓴다  권유문은 의문문이라도 some 쓸 수 있다

not, never 뿐만 아니라 hardly, scarcely, rarely, seldom이 와도 부정문이고 부정의 의미가 있는 전치사 without이 와도 부정문으로 보아 any를 쓴다. without any 명사는 짝으로 기억(어떤 명사도 없이)

한정된 수나 양을 나타낸다

ex) some car, some cars, some furniture

Some say love is holding on

 I like an apple. Some of it is rotten. :

I like apples . Some of them are rotten :

4.부정의 의미를 강조하기 위해 not any를 no로 쓸 수 있다

5. 축약구조로 동사부를 없앨 때도 any와 no를 쓸 수 있다

A : Can you help me? B : Sorry, not any time(=Sorry, there is not any time)

A : Can you help me? B : Sorry, no time(=Sorry, there is no time)

Any letters for me? (= Are there any letters for me?)

6. 의미가 명확할 때는 부정 대명사로 사용해서 뒤에 명사를 따로 수식받지 않아도 된다

A : Can you lend me some money?

B : Sorry, I haven't got any

1. another : 나열개념

3개 이상의 것을 나열 할 때 두 번째 것를 말함

A is one thing B is another : A와 B는 별개이다

To know is one thing, and to teach is another

2. other : 분할 개념 : 두 개로 나눈 후 두 번째 언급되는 명사

Do you like the one? (당신은 전자를 좋아해요?) I like the other(저는 후자를 좋아해요) : 전자,후자의 개념으로 순서가 정해진 두개를 분할 한 후 순서를 정함

He has twin sons. One is tall, while the other is short.

Some people like to eat vegetable. But others like to eat meat

Some people like boxing. But others don't

Some like dancing. And others like singing and drinking.

none : 수나 양을 모두 다부정

neither : 둘다 부정 단수취급

None of the money is mine

neither + v + s : 주어도 역시 아니다

He is not tall and neither is his wife

A : I don't like him

B : Neither do I(like him생략) = Me neither

neither a nor b

I like neither her nor her sister

Neither she or her sister is attractive
