say ( 명사형 ) : 발언권/ 발언 / saying : 격언, 속담 

say + 명사/ that s + v = 말하다 

ex) It says ' no swimming ' => 여기서 말하는 상황의 it 은 대게 '게시물'을 뜻한다

    She said yes to my suggestion 

It is said that s+v : ~ 라고 말해지다 (수동형) 

It is said that we are going to have a cool summer = we are said to be going to have a cool summer 

be said to vr ; ~ 하다고 말해진다 

He is said to have betrayed his friend and deserted his fatherland 

not to say a : a라고 할 정도 까지는 아니지만 

ex) It is warm, not to say hot 

say when = say when to stop 

ex) I am going to pour wine into your glass and say when 

She can speak German, French, to say nothing of english => say nothing of : ~ 말하것도 없고 

What do you say : '어떄?' ( 의견 물어볼 떄 ) => What do you say to his new novel? 

You can say that again : 당신 말이 맞고말고 

be in search of : ~ 을 찾다 => He was in search of a companion for the exploration 

search for, search into : 안까지 뒤지다, search through : 샅샅이 뒤지다, search after : 추구하다, 찾다 

seek for both a and b / alike a and b / at once a and b 모두 같은 말이다 

serve 의 제공하다는 식당에서 사용된다. 즉, 음식을 '먹는' 개념이기에 do you sell 이 아닌 do you server korean traditional food here in this restaurant? 과 같이 표현할 수 있다. 

serve + 봉직, 복역, 복무 하다 로 사용한다 => ex) Korean youngsters have to serve at least two years in the army 

serve + 명사 + well, ill, right, wrong : 다루다 

It serves him right => 상황의 주어 it이 주어로 온 경우

2가지의 경우 쓰일 수 있다. (1) 당연한 대접이다 ( 노력한 결과 ) (2) 썜통이다 ( 노력안한 결과 ) 

see it to that : 조처하다

e) see it to that all the doors and windows are shut 

catch sight of : ~을 보다 / lose sight of : ~을 못보다 

ex) She caught sight of a car in the distacnce
